    Malaysia will host the presidents of the world's current two top powers, almost back to back in October. By attending the 4th Global Entrepeneurship Summit on October 11 in Kuala Lumpur, President Obama would be the first sitting US President to visit Malaysia in 47 years. Preceeding that summit would be the official visit of Chinese President Xi Jinping from October 4-6. Elina Noor, assistant director of foreign policy and security studies at ISIS, explains the symbolism behind presidential visits, what we can expect and what this means for Malaysia's foreign policy.

    Dr Sovacool is a researcher, author and consultant on energy policy and governance.  His work covers issues pertaining to renewable energy, the politics of large-scale energy infrastructure and building adaptive capacity to the consequences of climate change. He has also served in research and advisory capacities for many state, national and international institutions. In 2012, Dr Sovacool was invited by the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC) to be a contributing author to its Working Group II, which deals with climate change mitigation. He has authored 8 books and more than 100 scientific articles.

    Mr Roland Koch became Chairman of the Executive Board of the engineering and services group Bilfinger Berger SE on July 1, 2011. He has been a member of the Executive Board since March 1, 2011.  After completing his law degree at the University of Frankfurt he worked as an independent lawyer, specializing in corporate and labour law, until 1999.  From 1987 until 2010, Roland Koch was a member of the state parliament in Hessen. He also served as Head of the CDU’s state caucus in 1990/91 and from 1993 until 1999. He was former Premier of the state of Hessen from 1999 until 2010
