These slides were presented at a REFSA webinar titled “Flattening the Recession Curve: Saving SMEs and Preserving Jobs” on 10 April 2020. The presentation leverages on latest DOSM survey data to assess the impacts of the COVID19 crisis on Malaysian businesses and workers, and outlines some goals for economic responses to the crisis. The presentation also provides an overview of the Prihatin stimulus package and proposes some ways to increase the impacts of the Prihatin package in safeguarding the welfare of businesses and workers.
