The Senior Communication Executive leads our communication and outreach strategies, shaping engaging content, driving innovative social media campaigns, and cultivating strategic partnerships. You will assist in guiding and disseminating research activities, expressing complex policy and research across various formats. The ideal candidate is a creative thinker with strong analytical skills, a passion for storytelling, and the ability to develop and implement audience-sensitive communication strategies. Key responsibilities

  1. Content creation and management
  • Plan, write and edit content to ensure clarity, coherence and alignment with the organisation’s brand philosophy.
  • Maintain consistent messaging across web, mobile and social platforms.
  • Manage content marketing campaigns to increase visibility, reach and engagement.
  • Implement SEO best practices to enhance search engine rankings and organic traffic.
  • Identify and foster strategic partnerships to expand brand exposure and engagement with target audiences.
  1. Social media management
  • Express complex policy and research in written, spoken, multimedia and social media formats.
  • Interact with users, communities and audiences across all platforms in both English and Bahasa Malaysia.
  • Monitor engagement metrics, analyse data and adjust strategies to optimise performance.
  • Track metrics and insights on each platform, utilising social media management tools to assess channel effectiveness.
  • Utilise networking tools to efficiently manage multiple social media accounts from a single dashboard.
  1. Multimedia production
  • Assist in planning podcast and video production and contribute to photographic duties as required to enrich content offerings.
  1. Perform any other task as required by management.

Job requirements

  1. Academic qualification
  • A degree in communications, marketing, journalism, or related field from a recognised university. An advanced degree is preferred.
  1. Professional/other relevant certification
  • None required.
  1. Working experiences
  • Proven experience in content creation, social media management and digital marketing. Experience with multimedia production and photography is a plus.
  1. Key/technical competencies
  • Excellent communication skills, including exceptional writing, editing, storytelling and presentation abilities.
  • Fluent in English and Bahasa Malaysia, with the ability to engage with diverse audiences.
  • Strong understanding of SEO principles and content strategy best practices.
  • Proficiency in social media management tools and analytics platforms.
  • Ability to multitask, prioritise and manage deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Creative thinker with a keen eye for detail and a passion for storytelling.
  • Strong analytical skills and the ability to interpret data to inform content strategies.

This position is for a fixed term of two years, inclusive of a 6-month probation, and will be considered for renewal at the end of the contract.

The ideal candidate will support the development and dissemination of multimedia content to enhance the visibility and impact of our research and events. Key responsibilities

  1. Graphic design: Create visually appealing graphics and infographics to communicate complex policy issues.
  2. Video production: Support the filming, editing and publishing of video content, including interviews, webinars and promotional videos.
  3. Audio production: Assist in recording, editing and producing podcasts and other audio content.
  4. Photography: Assist in capturing high-quality photographs at events and for use in different types of publications and on various platforms.
  5. Content management: Maintain and organise multimedia files and archives.
  6. Technical support: Provide technical assistance during live events, webinars and virtual meetings.
  7. Perform any other task as required by management.

Job requirements

  1. Academic qualification
  • A diploma or degree in multimedia production, graphic design, or related field from a recognised institute.
  1. Professional/other relevant certification
  • None required.
  1. Working experience
  • At least 1-2 years of experience in multimedia production.
  1. Key/technical competencies
  • Strong graphic design skills with experience using Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign).
  • Proficiency in video and audio editing software (e.g., Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, Audacity).
  • Knowledge of social media platforms and content management systems.
  • Experience with web design and development.
  • Knowledge of HTML/CSS.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Attention to detail and creativity.
